We offer several specialized workbooks designed to help individuals develop the depth of insight and accountability required for a successful board appearance. Below is a brief description of a few of our programs, along with how they can help:
Program Overviews
The Letter of Accountability: A Guided Workbook for Restorative Change
This workbook is a tool for looking at the "wreckage" left behind and acknowledging it without making excuses. It helps individuals move away from talking about their own struggles—like childhood or drug use—and instead focuses entirely on the victim’s pain. It guides them through the "Four Pillars" of accountability: Direct Admission, the Impact Map, Genuine Remorse, and Proof of Change.
Relapse Prevention & Risk Reduction Program
This curriculum teaches that relapse is a process, not a single decision, and helps individuals identify their specific sequence of triggers, thoughts, and beliefs. It assists in developing a "Personal Risk Profile" to manage internal factors like anger or impulsivity and external factors like high-risk environments.
Parole Board Hearing Preparation Program
This program is specifically designed to help individuals explain not just what they did, but why they did it by identifying the deeper beliefs behind their behavior. It teaches how to eliminate defensive or passive language—such as "it escalated" or "it happened"—and replace it with clear ownership and documented evidence of change.
Please note that we have many other workbooks available beyond these three that your partner may find beneficial during his preparation.
Delivery & Feedback Options
We offer two primary ways for your loved one to complete these programs:
Full Workbook Delivery:
We can mail the entire workbook directly to your partner for independent study.
Feedback Service (Additional Fee):
For a more guided experience, you can add our feedback service. This allows your partner to receive the workbook 1–2 chapters at a time, ensuring he can focus deeply on one specific concept before moving forward. Once he completes a section and sends his work back, he will receive feedback from a non-biased professional source to ensure his work meets the level of depth and accountability the board expects.
Please let us know if you would like to proceed with enrollment or if you have any questions regarding the fees for the feedback add-on. We look forward to supporting your partner’s journey toward restorative change.
